Joey Iosue
Joey Iosue has been climbing since his high school days, and it has been his passion ever since. After graduating from Prescott College in 2015 with a degree in Adventure Education, he has gone on to become an Alpine guide on Mt. Shasta and a Rock guide in Castle Crags (since 2016). He has also been an instructor and Course Director for Prescott College’s Orientation Program, leading 21-day backpacking trips in Arizona. Joey has a deep passion for helping people learn and grow through adventure, believing that the outdoors is the best classroom. We were thrilled to bring Joey onto the Cliffhanger team in the Fall of 2021! His breadth of guiding experience combined with his easy going personality make him an exceptional instructor. A day with him feels like you’re climbing with more than a guide, but a friend and mentor. In his free time, Joey loves playing music and even shows off his guitar playing skills with some sizzling solos. He is also a skilled paraglider pilot, skydiving enthusiast and amateur mechanic.
