Joshua Tree National Park:
A Rock Climber’s Paradise
With over 9000 established climbing routes, Joshua Tree is the world’s most expansive rock climbing destination. Top-roping, single pitch freestanding summits, multi-pitch climbing, bouldering, crack climbing, slab climbing—you name it, Joshua Tree’s got it.
But it’s not just the climbing. As longtime locals and advocates for Joshua Tree, we are committed to the local community, economy, and environment.
This commitment means going above and beyond to share with you what makes Joshua Tree special. From the park, to the superb arts and music scene, we are here to help you immerse yourself in this special place. We believe the best vacation experiences happen when you step outside the typical tourist attractions to spend quality time with people who know the landscape, community, and local culture on an intimate level.
The Mojave Desert—home to Joshua Tree National Park—is a place of beauty and awe. It’s an otherworldly landscape that supports a variety of fascinating lifeforms. Rare desert plants and animals include big horn sheep, desert tortoise, frogs, toads, six varieties of rattlesnake, numerous cactus species, and many other fascinating plants. Of course, our pride and joy is the Yucca brevifolia— the famous Joshua Tree.
Protecting and educating our guests about respecting this fragile ecosystem is an extension of our “leave no trace” ethic as climbing stewards—just as the Chemehuevi, Serrano, Western Shoshone, and Cahuilla people respected and protected these lands before us.
